Optimize the Bulk Storage of Grain via Linovision Carbon Dioxide Monitoring Solution

Background

Recently, the global food supply has been facing an increasing food shortage, driven by the growing global population, persistent conflict,  and weather extremes. Despite the need for additional food, lots of grain is lost after harvesting, mainly caused by spoilage due to mould or insect infestation during storage, which leads to huge food waste and financial loss. To help optimize the bulk storage of grain, Linovision offers a CO2 monitoring solution to help prevent mould or insect infestation, ensure the quality of the stored grain, and prevent economic losses for farmers.

Challenges

Insects and moulds can grow in stored grain. Traditionally, farmers or storage managers check the stored grain visually and by odor at a long interval. Furthermore, manual checking can earlier detect the spoilage of insects and moulds, but it’s tedious and time-consuming. Hence, a fast, simple method for earlier spoilage detection is needed to prevent grain loss.

Featured Product

Linovision IOT500-CO2 Carbon Dioxide Monitoring Sensor helps in real-time monitoring of CO2 concentration. In addition, IOT500-CO2 also integrates temperature and humidity sensors for grain storage. Combining with the advanced LoRaWAN® technology and 19000mAh battery makes it a low-power consumption product with more than 10 years-long use of life. IOT500-CO2 is a ideal choice to optimize the bulk storage of grain.

Solution

Moulds and insects produce CO2 during respiration. A high concentration level of CO2 indicates moulds and insects. Therefore, CO2 monitoring is a necessary and important method for the early detection of spoilage in stored grains. By placing the sensors at suited locations in the storage tank, IOT500-CO2 can detect the CO2 concentration produced by moulds and insects. Once the CO2 level exceeds the threshold, IOT500-CO2 will report to Linovision IoT Cloud or other cloud platforms via LoRaWAN® gateway. Linovision IoT Cloud will also send a notification to the alert recipients. Once potential spoilage is detected, the farmer or manager can cope with the problem. When working with insecticidal or ventilation systems, Linovision IoT Cloud can also realize unmanned spoilage monitoring and automatic ventilation or insect killing, resulting in reduced grain losses and higher quality of stored grain.

Benefits

4-in-1 Sensor

Besides CO2 monitoring, IOT500-CO2 is also highly sensitive to temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure.

7*24 Accurate Monitoring and Immediate Alert

7*24 easy, fast, and accurate CO2 concentration monitoring to detect potential grain spoilage, and alert admins once spoilage occurs.

Years-Long Use Life

19000 mAh Li-SOCL2 battery and low power consumption design make it a more than 10 years-long use life.

Bringing Real-Time Flood Monitoring System to Fingertips with Linovision IoT Solutions in Austria

Flooding is one of the major disasters occurring in various parts of the world. It can wipe away property, trees and even lives. The system for real-time flood monitoring: water level and precipitation level, was developed to be employed in Austria. The Chorinsky-Klause is a historic dam located in the Weißenbach Valley in Austria. It has protected a settlement from floods since its construction in the early 19th century. However, the location is too remote and difficult-to-reach to maintain effective management for people, especially in Winter. Hartl Consulting and Linovision partner to bring real-time data and management to the fingertips. With LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) technology, more efficient flood monitoring solution was deployed, collecting water level data timely and generating reports for better management.

Empowering ATM Connectivity with Industrial 4G Router

In the modern banking landscape, maintaining reliable and secure connectivity is crucial for ATM operations. Wired connections may not always suffice, leading to potential disruptions and inconvenience for customers. This is where 4G routers play a vital role, revolutionizing ATM connectivity and ensuring uninterrupted service. Let's explore the importance of 4G routers for ATMs.

  1. Reliable and Continuous Connectivity: ATMs are a lifeline for customers who rely on quick and accessible cash withdrawals and financial transactions. 4G routers provide a reliable and continuous internet connection, eliminating the dependence on wired networks. This ensures that ATMs are always connected, delivering uninterrupted service to customers.
  1. Flexibility in Deployment: ATMs are not limited to traditional brick-and-mortar locations. They can be deployed in various settings, such as shopping centers, airports, and remote areas. 4G routers offer the flexibility to set up ATMs in these diverse locations, as they do not require wired infrastructure. This flexibility enables banks and financial institutions to reach customers wherever they are, enhancing convenience and accessibility.
  1. Enhanced Security: Security is paramount in the ATM industry. 4G routers incorporate advanced security features, including encryption, VPN support, and firewall protection. These measures ensure secure data transmission between the ATM and the bank's network, safeguarding customer information and preventing unauthorized access.
  1. Remote Monitoring and Management: Efficient management and monitoring are critical for ATM operations. 4G routers enable remote access to ATMs for real-time monitoring, software updates, and troubleshooting. This remote accessibility saves time, reduces costs, and ensures prompt support, minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency.

For banks and financial institutions seeking a reliable and high-performance 4G router solution for their ATM networks, we highly recommend the LINOVISION Industrial 4G Router. Here's why:
  • Uninterrupted Connectivity: The LINOVISION Industrial 4G Router ensures uninterrupted and reliable internet connectivity for ATMs, eliminating service disruptions and enhancing customer satisfaction.
